I don't do studio stuff, so I can't advise on lighting, and you already have a lot of expert advice there already :)
My observations are; I think the glass itself looks great, but the red ornaments in #2 are distracting. Obviously a matter of taste since jpreston likes them. The background, keeping in mind that you improvised, has horizontal folds that I found distracting. A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two. I think the backgrounds become expensive when you buy a variety and have the means to move them around quickly to increase paying studio throughput. I think both images look good in general.

I have 2 approved I-140s from same company with which I am currently working. One PD is end 2004 and another is end 2005.
My I-485 was filed last July with PD end 2004 (I-140 was approved way back in 2006).
Recently, an ombudsman inquiry revealed my PD to be end 2005 and not end 2004. The 140 with PD end 2005 was never used to file 485.
Anybody with similar experience?
How do I get this corrected?

OK, Here is my situation. I came to the U.S. in August 1998 on F-1 visa stamped until Dec. 2000. I continued on my F-1 I-94 till November 2002, at which point I switched to H-1 B. I have changed three jobs prior to this one, but never have been out of status. I have all my pay stubs, income tax returns and original I-797's for the companies I worked for and am currently working. I have two Master's degrees from US university. Is it advisable to go for H-1 B visa stamping in Canada, Mexico or Mumbai, India. I have my passport valid till April 2015.

My I-485 is still pending past 180 days and I-140 is approved.

Did you get the receipt for your dependent's 485 application or was it rejected before they issued a receipt?
They issued receipt(starting with LIN 08XXXXXXX) and it came with the status as rejected. And infact they returned complete application.They asked me to correct and re-send the application to different P.O.Box after correcting.

Sweet_jungle, I am in a similar situation. My attorney sent a request to TSC 3 months back to fix the PD but no response yet. What did you do to open the obmudsman inquiry? Did you send him an email or did you send him a letter in the email
Ombudsman responded saying that my PD is the older PD. Looks like the earlier response was an error.
NSC AILA liason has also confirmed it.

The actual limit is 7% of the total EB plus FB which is:
(140,000 + 226,000) * .07 = 25,620
What is FB of 226,000 ?

Oh, and i wish i had buy it! A friend of mine told me about it and made a copy for me for testing. (not pretty legal, i know, but if i like the soft i finally buy it. I only need to check it in advance, because my salary is not that big to buy just for checking. Sure you know what i mean

I do think that painter has many features that photoshop doesn't, but out of the two, Photoshop is probebly a lot more useful. If you want to draw though, and you want to gain a real sense of texture which is the same as the none virtual medium, then Painter is the only way to go. That is to say.. if you want your cartoon to look like it's drawn in crayon.. Photoshop just wont cut it.
Edwin is really the one to ask about this. He's a very experienced Photoshop user and also has Painter6.0.
I will take a look around for books.. but like you and I have already said.. pickins are scarce.

Friends, I would like to know if I change job after I-140 & I-485 approval, do I still need to notify USCIS about AC-21. Also, will it require my new employer to provide a letter of job duties to confirm that the new job is either same or similar to the old one.

You apply for H1 transfer before you join new company. Once u get the H1 receipt (2 weeks) then u can be in their payroll. Then file for AC21. If all goes well this is my plan in June 08.
My question is my wife has her EAD expiring 10/10/2008, AP on 11/19/08. She wants to travel to india in May and return in november. is it ok if I change employer while she is in india, my concern is when she comes back in november her EAD is expired, will it affect our 485 status?

Based on the information you know about immigration and discsion u have been having with frinds ,attorneys, websites..etc. What do you think about the probability of I-140 premium starting date...!!!
I guess 485 getting current does not help much without getting i-140 approved.

You can leave it as blank, you will getting the A# with the 485 receipt ...

In Jun-July 2008 they will pass the unused Visa for Fiscal 2008 to India/China/Mexico/Philippines.So according to NY Times if 300K filed - then we July 2nd -Aug 17th 2007 filers will get GC within 2-3 yrs ? ( 300K/140K yearly)
I might be missing something - the real picture is not so good.
out of 300K applications ,may be 150K apps are from indians , then it'll take 150K/10K = 15 years for the one who applied in July/Aug 07.
