In case I do what you mention, what normally comes with a rejection? would the USCIS go further (beyond the simple denial), and rule that I was out status penalizing/prohibiting me to enter the country?
Should it be better if I just leave the country and wait for the approval outside the US? I guess Im prepared for a denial, what concerns me the most is jeopardizing B1-B2 Visa or as you said to be prohibited to enter the country.
Do you know the "standard" wording for USCIS decision in cases like mine?

What is the difference between L1B and H1B? Why don't companies hire on L1B when H1B's are over? Thanks.

These are the descriptions for L visas.
L-1A/L-1B.

Hi All,
I was sponsored by Company A. Also they are sponsoring my GC. I have a pending i-485 since my PD is Nov2006.
Company B has bought Company A. What should I do now?
1) Do I have to ask them to file a fresh H1?
2) how would the GC process be transfered to the new company that took over?
I asked the greedy owner of company A (my so called sponsorer, but as usual I paid for all the expenses), he said there is no problem with regards to my immigration status.
Can someone shed some light on this scenario?

Did they issue your EAD from the time the previous one expired or from the current date. If current date, you'd have lost about 3 months or validity.
Some people I know got EADs from the next day following the expiration of their current EAD. I however got from approval date. Its all so inconsistent.

My H1 extension expires on March 08, Have EAD, Work for the same employer who sponsered my GC.
Does my employer has to apply for my H1 extension ? Should I use EAD to work with my same employer (what paper work I have to do ?).
Hypothical question, If I use EAD to work, lets say there is a delay in getting my EAD renewed even though I apply 120 days in advance, should I stop working and start working only after I get my new EAD ??
Some may find these as irrelvant thoughts/questions, but we are in this limbo state and it is better to know.

There are so many things that come into picture such as ability to pay , proferred wage , qualifications of individual , requirements for the job.
Can any one predict when will 2008 PDS will become current for people from India whether Eb2 or EB3 . As far as I can predict it really does not matter if some one is looking at PD of 2008 and from India , one is there for a long time if congress does not act.

My wife got her teaching credentail in California last year. You first get your degree evaulated by AERC and then apply to any school that offers a credential program. You do not get much credit for your UG courses. The whole teacher credentail program takes any where between 55 to 65 credit hours to finish. The fee for the program is low as it is subsitized by the state govt's. You will pay instate tution atleast in California. No financial aid on H4 visa.

I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?
3. Can I get my FP done on the same day as my wife even though I did not receive my FP notice?
4. I have filed for I-485, EAD and AP, will we both receive an FP notice for all 3 applications or it is just one FP for all applications?

Big 5 has their own internal queue. What they mean by 6 months is after 6 months they will put you in the queue.

My wife has her name changed in the local county (Judge's order and a name change certificate)
She may start a job on EAD (has maiden name)..
Any clues on the process to make similar change in EAD, AP +passport (We would travel soon too), Pending 485 (so that her GC approval comes with the new name)

Yeah I think it makes sense to fill I9 form because that way you make it clear that your intent moving forward is to be on AOS rather than H1. In case you dont do it then you are on dual status with H1 being primary status so in that case it is open to wide interpretation of CIS officers to classify it as out of status or in status.
