Hi psychman!
In a nutshell, you can't because WebClient cannot access the file system. One thing you can do is install a web server on the machine - IIS, Apache, etc. Would that be something you would be interested in doing?

Folks,
Here's my situation: Eb2 India (PD of 24th May 2006), filed 485 ONLY for self in September 2008, got married later and hence wife is not yet added to my 485 application. She is dependent H4 on my H1 visa -- so even though I have EAD, I am NOT using it.
Changing jobs now going to same title, similar job duties. The lawyers at hiring company say I can use my EAD and H1b interchangeably! And my understanding was that the moment I use EAD, my H1B is annulled. Is this not right?
Second question -- the lawyer mentions that even if my date becomes current and we can for some reason NOT get my wife's 485 application in, we can always do follow-to-join without any issues. Has someone had any experience with this. My understanding was that I NEED to make sure my wife's 485 application reaches them on the 1st of the month in which my date is becoming current.
Could someone PLEASE comment on these two questions?

this is not consistent. I just booked appt for my in laws yesterday 54 year old but did not get 157 pop up just 156. hope this helps.

Thanks jsb..In that case, I am changing jobs even without working for my GC sponsorer. I heard that it could potentially lead to fraud case.are you sure we can do this or do u know somebody who has done this.

GC sponsorship is always for a future job. Until your GC approval, if you are working for the sponsoring employer, you are there as a guest worker (on H1B, L1 etc.). It will be fraud if it is established that sponsoring employer did not really intend to employ you, and you did not really intend to work for them as a permanent employee, upon getting your GC.

Even I changed my address last month. No RFE.
Now Again I want to chnage. I want to know If I just submit AR11 online, without updating the pending applications ( not expecing any communication for CIS next couple of months). Will they look in to AR11 and issue RFE(If at all).OR it is just a record no one care unless you chnage the pending applications.

I have some queries regarding my journey. I just wanted to clarify them. Actually I got visa in Sept,2008 and expires on Sept 2011. I am planning to come in Feb,2011.Will I face any issues regarding my visa at the port of entry, because it expires in 8 months. So I am worried regarding that please clarify my query?

If you are coming through a consulting company to work at a Client's site, then there is a possibility that you will also be asked for a Client letter, especially because its been a while since your VISA was issued. I have my I140 approved couple of years ago and now our company is being acquired by another firm. As a result I may lose my job. I am on 5th year of H1 and have I140 copy.
I got an offer with a project from a top consulting firm who is willing to transfer my H1 and also carry forward GC.
However I am concerned, as that consulting firm has the history of cancelling the H1 once they could not find any new projects after the current project. But in current market scenario, I could find any other opportunity and it may be necessary to join that firm.
So lets say after one/two years, if I lose my job with that firm and want to carry forward my H1/GC with other company, will it be possible?
What should I ask the firm now (terms and conditions, before start working with them) to make my self in safe position later on?

I am planning to work on EAD soon and switch my employer using AC21. How would USCIS know that I have switched from H1b to EAD. I might change my mind after 1 months and get back to H1 transfer and work on H1 instead on EAD.
This depends on if the future project is long term and I switch to H1B just to be safe.

I found that there are 24 states under compact member, some does not requires SSN to get RN license so there are good states to get license and practices. *https://www.ncsbn.org/158.htm *However you still get stuck when it comes to sponsorship.

As they just started I-140 premium processing, I wonder why they cannot initiate 3rd stage premium processing.
I wouldn't mind spending a couple thousand dollars if I can get the actual green card in a couple of weeks after starting the 3rd stage. Time is money. If I can buy it, I will buy it.
I don't think it is very constructive to repeat the same story to the congress, which they are not tuned to. We'd better make various suggestions from many different angles so that they can pick at least some of them in a timely manner.
The last stage is already messy when USCIS made everything CURRENT and everyone filed whether visa numbers are available or not.. Do you want to add more to it?

similar situation. Applied to NSC but received EAD from CSC. So EAD as number starting with CSC, I was thinking of choosing CSC.

I was initially issued pp for 5 years in India. Last year in '08 when it was expiring, i sent application for renewal of passport (NY Consulate) based on my EAD. However, instead of renewing it for another 5 years they renewed it for 1 year only. When I called the office, they said that they receive tons of pp's lon EAD which can be renewed for a year only.
Did anybody face this same problem? Can I apply for new passport based on I-485 receipt and would they issue passport for another 5 or 10 years?

Hi,
You can email to E-Filing.Support@dhs.gov requesting the receipt notice in pdf format. I had the same situation and i emailed the above Id and got receipt notice (pdf) in 48hrs. BTW in the email give your receipt number.

One more thing, now a days USCIS started taking more than a week for sending confirmation or FP notice. This may be due to more work load or intentional delay due to multi-year EAD.

That memo became an subject of sunday morning talk shows on Fox, CNN etc and now even USCIS has rescinded from it.
I have filed my I-485 before my marriage and I need to be on H1-B VISA to maintain my spouse's H4 Status.
Couple of weeks back there was a leaked USCIS memo mentioning "The agency could also consider extending employment authorization to the dependent spouses of certain skilled workers. For example, USCIS sould allow employment authorization for H-4 dependent spouses of H-1B principals where the principals are also applied for lawful permanent residence and have extended their non-immigrant status under the provisions of AC21"
