That's only 1,258,291.2 gigabytes ... If each customer gets, say, 500 megabytes allocated, that's enough for 2,516,582 customers.

To be safe more like enough for 2.5 million customers @ 500 megabytes (which isn't very high, I would hope for more like 5000 megabytes/5 gigabytes, but then that's only enough for like 251,658 customers).

Point is, they better have another 10+ Pb along the way ...

Er, not necessarily. Age of consent laws vary widely... in most jurisdictions, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old can pretty much do whatever they want.

Really?! The UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain combined (I'm guessing Europe's most capable armed forces) total around the same number of active personnel as the US. Name one arab country capable of invading Europe or the US. Maybe you just like to pretend the US is the guardian of Europe, but there is no country both willing and able to invade.

This may only happen if they get rid of the consumer-quality GPS receiver in it. Would raise the price of the handset, though.

It's more than likely going to be the use of their own software (iMaps?) rather than use Google which has their own Mobile OS now.

I'm sure TJMax is rethinking how brilliant their idea is. But is it really illegal? What can Apple do?

Apple shouldn't be able to do anything. TJ Max buys at retail and sells for $100 off at a loss. This so far has become the most cost effective advertising campaign for TJ Max EVER! Just look at it. Mac Rumors is talking about TJ Max. this will probably hit major news networks as well if it hasn't already.

Than why else do they want them? FT references their "business model" needing this "relationship". As other have said, I want their content NOT a relationship.

That is NOT a reason to assume they do sell information. Probably marketing reasons.

Apple wants people to give personal information ( address, phone number etc ) to sign up for the various *free* developer programs ( i.e., Safari Developer ).. that isn't an indication that Apple are going to sell your information... However, according to your response.. Apple will sell this information... ( which of course, they will not ).

got mine today. get it home. open it up. and.

no earphones! the box is only held together with a sticker so i'm thinking they got jacked somewhere along the line. or maybe they where just missed on the assembly line. anyway. tech support said i should have a new pair at my door by tuesday.

anyone else have issues?

This news underscores to me that Mail 2.0 is really only a somewhat decent web interface for your email.

It's a crime that any application with WYSIWYG support won't allow you to select non-contiguous text to apply formatting.

Fine and dandy that .Mac is getting an overhaul, but I'm really hoping for some big improvements for Mail in Leopard.

Anyone try it yet? sort of like fakeclockup but the descriptions lead it to be more! this one actually speeds up your clock speed? I would say to remove the fake clock up before you try this
